A Cast of Characters

This exhibition features my most recent body of work–complex drawings inspired by the layered characters, themes, and imagery of my subconscious–alongside mixed media sculpture.

Through this work, I am exploring a drawing-to-drawing symbolic narrative.  Using a variety of materials and methods, the works on paper address themes of pollution, communication, and self-destruction.

Whether fictional tales of spycraft, absurd astronomical references, or lived environmental repercussions, the inspiration for this work is filtered through my own experience.  The motifs come from literature, music, and daily life; the works on paper lending an immediacy to the act of creation.
