Conceptual Paintings and Photographs

May 2 through May 27th. First Friday: May 4, 5-8 pm

In a combination of photographs and paintings, Soong creates a unique environment, both assertively realistic (as in a series of inkjet prints --the largest is 34 feet long-- witnessing the transformation of common birds, from death through disintegration, back into the earth), and affirmatively conceptual (a series of "black", many- hued canvases, challenging the idea that life emerges from the void).

The artist will be available to discuss his work on First Friday, May 4th, 5-8pm, or by appointment.
