Colors, Lines, Shapes & Space

My abstract oil pastel series explores the feelings and emotions generated by color, lines, shapes, and space.These paintings use warm colors to evoke a passionate and uplifting feeling.The many shades of red and other warm colors serve to energize, warm and transport me to a better place. Although the work is strong in coloration, it is also quiet and meditative owing to the immersive effect of having one color dominate.The imagery in the series is abstract/non-objective.  Circles, lines, shapes and other marks float in space, perhaps suggesting a happy time and place.
