Controllable Random

My paintings are rooted in expressing dramatic colors with organic brushstrokes rather than the accuracy of specific representation. My paintings create insight into movement with interactive colors that join with random and controllable blending.

In my recent work,  I am obsessed with the unpredicted movements of pigment and exploring the pouring technique with overlying dry media. I also combine the tactile textures on the surface of the painting. I seek to incorporate abstract elements to give the viewers a feeling like being in nature.   In my latest series, I explore long-scale canvases and making an organized form inspired by the unexpected outcome of my painting practices. The form is inspired by the Chinese opening scroll, allowing the viewers to appreciate art as if reading a book.
